Snapchat Spectacles on Automatic Machines
In the end of September, Snap as the company owner of short messaging app, Snapchat, launch a spectacles and eqiupped with cameras so able to record 10-second videos.
Recently, Snap start selling these devices through vending machine aka "Snapbot" and the plan is it will be brought through around United States.
The location is prime Snapbot appearance in Venice Beach area adjacent to HQ of Snap, Thursday. Snapbot vending machine will only appear in one location for one day only. The next location will be announced within 24 hours before appearing on the site Spectacles.com.
Snapbot machine itself has distinctive yellow color as Snapchat and it have motion sensors that will turn on the circular screen automatically when a customer approached.
Snap is restricting the sale of spectacles and it's only sale via vending machine, without providing the option to buy online.
As a result, Spectacles reportedly sold out in a short time. Some buyers are now reselling Spectacles on the eBay auction site with the official reaches 760 US Dollars, far higher than the official price of 130 US Dollars.
Spectacles have a similar concept to Google Glass, but simpler. To use it, users simply touch a button. Wireless camera in the device will start recording video 10 seconds.
Then, videos can be directly transferred to Snapchat app on your phone via WiFi and Bluetooth connections.
