Snapdragon 845 Released, Save Battery Life Up To 40%

Qualcomm introduces upscale models the latest mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 835. This chipset will be embedded in a variety of high-end smartphone models that glide in the year 2017.

As previously Snapdragon 820, developed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 through a partnership with Samsung.

Snapdragon 835 produced with 10 nm FinFET fabrication process made by Samsung. 10 nm fabrication process has to be first made by Qualcomm. With low fabrication process, a new chipset Qualcomm said it has a 27 percent higher performance and smaller physical size of 30 percent compared to the Snapdragon 820.

More importantly, the power consumption of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 claimed 40 percent more efficient than Snapdragon 820 made with 14 nm fabrication process. Lower power consumption is made by Qualcomm to overcome wasteful batteries in mobile-phone high-end.

Qualcomm helped immerse fast charging latest technology, Quick Charge 4.0, the so-called able to charge 20 percent faster than Quick Charge 3.0. Charging the battery for 15 minutes through a USB port-C claimed to charge the battery to 50 percent capacity.


Snapdragon 835 is intended as a successor to two previous high-end chip, Snapdragon 820 and Snapdragon 821, which among other things is used in Augmented Reality enabled handset, such as Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.

Qualcomm architectural wear new Snapdragon processor 835 will be described in more detail in the CES held in January 2017. It is probable that this chip will be used by products such as Samsung's flagship Galaxy S8 as well as models from LG, HTC and other smartphone vendors.
